Lamplight Tours in Columbia State Historic Park

It’s Christmastime in Columbia in the 1850s and Friends of Columbia invite you to the town’s festivities! This popular reenactment will give you a peek into the actions, conversations, gossip and competitive nature of the townspeople as you travel through a dozen or so interpretive venues and scenes. While the characters and plot change every year, the action is always the same. Costumed docents make merry as an overriding story unfolds that will entertain and engage you! Listen carefully to the buzz as you witness the turn of comical events. It always has a surprise conclusion. Lamplight Tours is Friends of Columbia’s holiday present to all! To add to the holiday spirit of celebrating, tours end with music and refreshments for everyone to enjoy. If nothing else, this event will get you into the Christmas mood faster than anything else! This year, Jedediah Moesley is a down-and-out miner. Town gossip spreads the news of all his misfortune. But Jedediah’s luck is about to change.
