California Native Plant Society Hosts M. Kat Anderson, Author

Faith Hall at the Church of the 49ers, Columbia, and the The Central Sierra Chapter of the California Native Plant Society is honored to host Dr. M. Kat Anderson, author of Tending the Wild and her newest work from this year, I Sing to the Earth, and She Sings Back on October 24 at 6 PM in Faith Hall at the Church of the 49ers, Columbia, CA. (Note: This talk is preceded by a chapter meeting at 4pm and a potluck at 5pm, to which all are invited.) Kat is currently focusing on restoring human relationships to the earth and its living things. This entails honoring and reviving the gathering and tending practices, ethical stances, and ways of being of pre-industrial cultures from around the world. As the author of Tending the Wild, she highlights indigenous stewardship practices essential for biodiversity, climate resilience, and cultural restoration.
