Memorial Day Honor and Remembrance Ceremonies

Come to Columbia State Historic Park for the day of remembrance that begins at 11:00 AM at the Columbia Cemetery. The Grenadine Belles and the Columbia Militia Color Guard will lead a moving tribute to our fallen veterans in a setting rich with local history.

The commemoration continues at 1:00 PM in the (near the museum), featuring a special ceremony and a stirring musical performance by the 191st U.S. Army Band. This event is free and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and bring chairs to enjoy the historic charm of Columbia while paying tribute to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
