Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS) Service operates between Tuolumne County towns and destinations and Yosemite Valley mid-May through September.
Benefits to riding YARTS:
- YARTS tickets include the entrance fee to Yosemite.
- Children 12 and under ride free with a paying adult (one child per each paying adult).
- Passengers enjoy a relaxing scenic drive to Yosemite while someone else does the driving.
- Passengers avoid traffic and parking.
What You Can Do With Your Time
Depart YARTS at the Yosemite Village bus stop and get park info, maps etc. While there, enjoy a visit to the Welcome Center and Museum.
Next, check the map for shuttle stops throughout the valley. The free shuttles run on a rotation of approximately every 10 minutes.
Example of sites/stops along the shuttle routes:
- Lower Yosemite Falls
- El Capitan Picnic Area
Do you enjoy scheduled tours? Yosemite Park offers, for example:
- The Valley Floor Tour – a 2-hour open tram tour in the summer months
- Glacier Point Tour – a 4-hour tour with a 3200-foot elevation gain
- Ranger/Naturalist led walking tours are also available
More tours are available and some require reservations.
