Snowshoe with a Ranger

Meet at: Crabtree Winter Trailhead (just outside of the Dodge Ridge Ski Area Parking Lot – on your right) Appreciate the beauty of the Stanislaus National Forest from a different perspective. Forest Rangers will share information about the natural history and cultural history of the area as you snowshoe along the path. Bring a pair of snowshoes and poles for balance. Snowshoes can be rented along Highway 108. Wear warm snow jacket, snow pants, hat. All Ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This is athletic sport at high elevation so you will get a nice workout. Bring water and a snack. Beginner? No problem. We will help you get started! If you want to bring your well-behaved dog, they are welcome, please keep them on a 6' leash and bring them water. Blizzard cancels. Questions?
