Sierra Repertory Theater Presents Come From Away

On September 11, 2001, 38 planes carrying nearly 7,000 people are diverted to Gander, Newfoundland. With little warning, residents of the small town open their schools, community halls and homes to travelers from around the world.

An ensemble of actors moves rapidly between the locals and the “come from aways,” capturing five extraordinary days of uncertainty, culture clashes, unexpected humor and connection. Irene Sankoff and David Hein’s Olivier Award-winning musical pairs a driving, Celtic-inspired score with a clear-eyed account of ordinary people facing an unprecedented crisis together.

Approximately 100 minutes, no intermission

PG. Recommended for ages 10 and older. Contains themes related to September 11, death and grief, some strong language and references to alcohol.
