Columbia College Fall Orchestra Concerts
The Columbia College Orchestra will present their Fall Concerts on two days, Friday, October 23 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, October 25 at 3 p.m. in the Dogwood Forum on the Columbia College campus. Admission is free. “We will feature one of the pillars of the orchestral repertoire playing Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 8,” Dr. Daniel Godsil, conductor of the orchestra, said. The orchestra will feature violinists Sam Zabell and David McCarroll performing J.S. Bach’s beloved Double Violin Concerto in D Minor with the string ensemble of the orchestra accompanying them. It is considered one the composer’s most successful works.
