Railtown 1897 State Historic Park Train Excursions Season
All aboard! The 2026 excursion season at Railtown 1897 State Park! Excursion trains on Saturdays and Sundays and scheduled for 10:30 am, 12 pm, 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm, April through October. Excursion tickets may be purchased in advance online. https://www.railtown1897.org/visit/excursion-train-rides
On our seasonal weekend train rides, guests will enjoy a memorable six-mile, 45-minute round trip ride on the rails of the famous "Movie Railroad," including past the iconic water tank seen in "Petticoat Junction," a popular TV show that aired in the 60's and 70's.
Railtown 1897 State Historic Park is open daily (except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day)
April-October: 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
November-March: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Self-guided and guided tours available year-round. Exhibits, including a movie museum, are found throughout the grounds.
Admission to Park:
- Adults – $5 adults
- Youths – $3 youths (ages 6-17)
- Children – Free (ages 5 and under)
- Members – Free
