While Stanislaus National Forest is closed there are tons of other outdoor locations in Tuolumne County that are still open! Go on a fishing excursion with ECHO Adventure Cooperative or YExplore. Fish, swim, boat, kayak or use the hiking trails at Lake Don Pedro and New Melones Lake. You can't swim in Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, however you can fish from the shoreline and there is no reservation necessary to enter!

Yosemite National Park is open (you will need day-use reservations through September 30th) and filled with famous hiking trails and hidden gems. Hiking through the Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias brings peace of mind as you are surrounded by ancient giants. Dragoon Gulch in Sonora offers stunning views of the historic downtown.
Tuolumne County is home to not one but TWO State Historic Parks! Columbia State Historic Park, the most well preserved Gold Rush Town in California, and Railtown 1897 State Historic Park which highlights the history of the Sierra Railway. Sierra Repertory Theater returns Friday, September 3rd for the beginning of their fall season! See Shrek the Musical performed through early October. This musical will be sure to put a smile on your face! Tuolumne County is also know for live music! Find it across the County at bars, restaurants, farmers markets, and outdoor concerts!
