Tuolumne River Trust protects and restores the Tuolumne River watershed for present and future generations. The Tuolumne River Trust seeks a healthy and vibrant river and promotes stewardship of the Tuolumne watershed through:
• Education, outreach, volunteerism and adventures
• Collaboration with a diverse array of stakeholders
• Extensive on-the-ground restoration and forest health projects
• Advocacy and grassroots organizing

Groveland Trail Heads mountain bicycling club is a Chapter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), whose mission is to create, enhance and preserve great trail experiences for all trail users. GTH has been partnering with the Stanislaus National Forest’s Groveland Ranger District to develop a public use, mountain bike specific trail system as well as develop more multi-use trails in and around Groveland and Southern Tuolumne County.

Volunteer Trail Work with Groveland Trail Heads
Every 2nd Sunday, December 10, 2023 - April 14, 2024
11:00am-3:00pm

Help Groveland Trail Heads create an amazing mountain bike trails system in Groveland, California that will help local businesses and provide another outdoor recreational opportunity for youth, the community, and visitors. 

Help clear trail corridor -- removing vegetation, trimming back branches, clearing fallen trees, and looking at where to place drainages. They will also provide education on sustainable trail construction so when the rains come 
we'll be ready to build! Please wear long pants, boots or good outdoor footwear, long-sleeve shirt, eye protection, gloves, sunscreen, and a hat. GTH will provide water, snacks, and the trail tools. This is physical work but 
you're outdoors in a beautiful forest with amazing views.

Meet at the Ferretti Non-Motorized Trail parking area off of Ferretti Rd. near Groveland. All ages are welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Love Tuolumne County's annual, action-oriented volunteer weekend is every April, and includes dozens of projects from which to choose to volunteer your time. Click here to find out more about the annual event and other events throughout the year.

Help preserve Sonora's iconic "Red Church" by becoming an Angel Donor. Angel Donors' donations help maintain and preserve the Church building and Parish Hall. Support Local Agriculture

There are many ways that you can help support local agriculture and growers. Visiting one of the several farmers' markets is an excellent way to connect with local growers and purchase sustainable foods and products. There are also farms in the area that are open to the public and that put on events highlighting sustainability. Farms of Tuolumne County,  a non-profit organization that promotes the local agriculture industry and provides information on local farms and restaurants that incorporate local ingredients into their menus.



Tuolumne County has incredible natural and cultural history, stories, and traditions. Discover something new by attending interpretive programs offered by the Stanislaus National Forest and local tribes.
